Product and process
Raw-water entry, treatment, hygienic storage, filling and controlled product transfer.
Factory planning for water bottling projects
Give the local design team a coordinated factory basis
The equipment layout is not a complete building brief. Local architects and engineers need a controlled description of factory functions, flows, loads, interfaces, room conditions, access, safety, drainage, utilities, storage and future stages before producing construction documents.
Answer first
Provide controlled room functions, flows, equipment geometry and loads, access, utility and drain schedules, hygiene and environmental conditions, storage, safety inputs, future-stage requirements and the responsible party for each interface.

01
Identify the project location, design stage, intended products and formats, operating pattern, selected equipment status, local designers, approving parties and the documents that govern each discipline. Mark supplier data as preliminary until it is approved for design.
| Input status | Meaning | Design use |
|---|---|---|
| Confirmed requirement | Approved project or local condition | Use as the current design basis with source and revision |
| Supplier design input | Load, connection, footprint or condition from the selected package | Coordinate and verify before construction release |
| Design allowance | Visible margin or provisional basis | Record owner, consequence and close date |
| Unknown | Evidence is not yet available | Do not convert it into an invisible assumption |
02
List each process, utility, laboratory, storage, support and external function with cleanliness, access, environmental and separation needs. Show how raw water, containers, caps, labels, people, waste and finished goods move without avoidable crossings.
Raw-water entry, treatment, hygienic storage, filling and controlled product transfer.
Preforms or empty bottles, blowing where used, clean bottle transfer, labeling, coding and packing.
Laboratory, chemical storage, sanitation, maintenance, parts, change parts and controlled records.
Receiving, quarantine, line-side staging, finished goods, dispatch, returns and waste.
Entry, changing, hygiene, welfare, supervision, visitors and emergency routes.
03
Provide dimensioned footprints, operating and maintenance clearances, masses and loads, vibration or anchoring needs, platforms, pits, openings, clear heights, lifting points and the route from unloading to final position. Local qualified designers must approve structural and construction decisions.
| Design interface | Information required | Coordination output |
|---|---|---|
| Floor and foundations | Static, dynamic and concentrated loads plus anchor and leveling basis | Approved slab, foundation and embedded-item design |
| Access and lifting | Largest shipping split, mass, route, doors, turns and lift method | Permanent and temporary access plan |
| Maintenance | Removal envelopes, consumable handling, service platforms and safe isolation | Clearances and lifting/service provisions |
| Future change | Identified expansion package and tie-in strategy | Protected footprint, route, loads and interfaces |
04
Give each discipline a load and connection schedule with normal, peak, startup and standby conditions where relevant. Identify supply quality, generation, distribution, isolation, metering, drainage, ventilation, heat release and the responsibility at each battery limit.
Loads, starting conditions, panels, routes, grounding, lighting, data and backup responsibilities.
Raw, treated, cleaning and utility water duties, storage, pressure, quality and sampling points.
Flow, pressure, quality, heat rejection, room conditions, maintenance and condensate routes.
Every source, condition, peak, segregation need, collection point and locally approved destination.
Process and storage facts needed by the competent local designer and authority.
05
Coordinate finishes, slopes, drains, penetrations, doors, ceilings, condensation control, pest exclusion, cleaning access and personnel or material routes with the plant hygiene plan. Do not rely on a generic food-factory label to close project-specific details.
| Boundary | Building question | Evidence before release |
|---|---|---|
| Open product and containers | How are they protected from people, dust, condensate and dirty returns? | Zone and airflow basis plus operating controls |
| Wet cleaning | Where do water and chemicals go and which surfaces remain accessible? | Drainage, finish and cleaning review |
| Penetrations | How are utility routes sealed, inspected and changed? | Coordinated penetration and hygiene detail |
| Waste and returns | How are rejected materials and returnable containers separated? | Route, holding and sanitation concept |
06
Require coordinated drawings, schedules, calculations and interface registers at defined review stages. Use hold points before civil release, equipment shipment and installation so late supplier information or local changes do not remain hidden.
Approved functional zones, main flows, utility concept, risks and site constraints.
Dimensioned equipment, loads, connections, drains, openings, access and discipline clashes.
Qualified local approval, issued-for-construction set, change control and open-item disposition.
As-built condition, access, foundations, utilities, safety and equipment-arrival readiness.

Buyer questions
The supplier can provide package-specific layouts, loads and interfaces within the agreed scope. Qualified local architects, engineers and authorities must design and approve the building, utilities, safety and compliance work assigned to them.
Start before the building concept freezes and update it when the product, equipment, formats, loads, layout or local requirements materially change. Keep revisions and affected decisions traceable.
No. It may show equipment positions, but local design also needs loads, clearances, access, rooms, flows, utility and drain schedules, environmental conditions, safety inputs and discipline interfaces.
Show the identified future product, capacity or pack stage and protect the necessary footprint, delivery route, utilities, drainage, warehouse and operating tie-ins. Empty space without these interfaces may not be usable.

Not sure which data matters? Send what you have and state the decision you need to make.
Send target capacity and SKUs, source-water report, site utility schedule, building layout and required project milestones.
The project desk can identify missing inputs and a practical next step. Final engineering, configuration, compliance and commercial terms remain project-specific.
